And he promises not to scare you! He's an all white golden retriever and has joined our family. We picked him up on Monday and and think he might give Procter a run for its money. He's a much bigger, wigglier version of a swiffer... he picks up any of the many cobwebs under our chairs... and he'll chew through any obstacle in his way.

featured the sister of one of my clients. Rogers Hartmann is battling with dystonia a neurological disorder that acts much like Parkinson's Disease. Both Rogers and Michael J. Fox were featured talking about how debilitating it can be and how they simply get through the day. Something resontated with me as Michael J. Fox was talking. He said he really believes Parkinson's made him stop and embrace each day for what it was. He might not have a decision about whether he has Parkinson's, but he does have a thousand other decisions he can make. If his children wanted him to come do something, "nothing to him was more important than being with his kids". He wasn't sure he'd be that way had he not had Parkinson's. Gosh, I hope for those of us that aren't faced with such a challenge that we take heed of his advice!

As you know, I love for each and every piece I offer to you to be a one of a kind, unique piece. Personally, I strive to create images that not only capture the spirit of being a kid (your kid), but also to capture it in a way that transforms it into a piece of fine art. Not everyone wants this...but I do for some images. For certain images that lend themselves to it.

Do so now! I'm telling you!!! It's going to get warm soon. The grass is going to be that unbelievable green. I've just been editing my personal images from last year and the year before and I now know why I spend most of first quarter going to workshops, seminars, etc. Because winter stinks here in Cincinnati. I don't get that intoxicating feeling I get when the birds start chirping, the flowers start blooming... I lose my skip in my step in the winter, if you will. So I focus on the art of photography, studying other artists, techniques, etc. Looking for new products for you. New things I want to do and try... and I can feel Spring coming.

to see my new baby for the first time." she said to me. And I'm thinking it was some painful childbirth story where the anaesthesiologist didn't make it to the delivery room in time. Instead it was the awe I experienced when we had our first child. To me it was one of the most religious experiences I have ever had. And to this client.. it was equally as amazing. This little guy is their first born. He's beautiful and happy and has incredibly loving parents.
Their house is happy. It looks happy. It feels happy. It's going to be a wonderful place to grow up. His eyes match his father's. His skin as beautiful as his mother's. And, how great it was to have grandma Nadine there!!! Willing to help me move furniture or stand in that amazing light I loved for just another second! Thank you!
I know I've promised to post a few images...so here they are!!!! Thank you for opening your worlds up to me! I so look forward to years of photographing your little guy... and you know where I want our next experience to be!!! Hugs to all of you!
